'this is not a test'

He’s an insufferable snob,
but she likes him for his DNA.
And she is a bored little planet floating unconcerned
in a darkened cave.

But much like salmon swim upstream
then sadly meet their fate,
this smells fishy—
like dirty little scenes
at some of the less quality singles bars.

But my friends, this is not a test—
this is the dirty, rutting origins of dubious genius.

So she noticed him stand out of the writhing throng
coming through the gate--
from the other flagellate invaders
in all that desperate rain.

And there can be only one who survives
inside this tiny game!
Who puffs up larger than the others!
…who can dominate!

…who pushes in
…who can get through
…who SUBDIVIDES
…and can THRIVE!!

But my friends, we’re positive it’s not a test. It’s the dirty, rutting origins … of genius.
