this goes at the end of your album. I really have to be in the right mood for this. It’s really slow and draggy. Great playing and beautiful singing, nice dynamics.

In general i think this challenge hurt a lot of good songs.

My non objective favorites are FJ and BSS .
My objective favorites are: Merisan (FTW), Rain Watt, Ujn & Friends, Paco, Abominominous

No bad songs, all a good listen, even if I had to ride the volume knob.

we put so. much. work. into this one! "Dynamics" immediately sent me off in a post-rock direction, surprising to me that nobody else went in this direction but maybe "slow and sad" is a tough sell in a competition like this. Owl's vocals really gave this a powerful emotional core and we had fun adding and removing layers of Every Instrument. I'm really proud of the end result.

Sorry to see Fisher & Diaz and Pigfarmer Jr leave the competition so early. Despite my grumpy comments above I think these are all solid songs, most of my objections are genre-based or personal in other ways.

y'all should want me as a judge because I'd probably put you #1 every time. pretty easily my favorite this round despite the strong competition, this one is just really up my alley personally. really beautiful production. I don't actually love all of the lyrics (the listing of "shocking" things kinda put me off, especially 2 girls 1 cup. nice visual ! ) but ... it just sounds so good I don't care really.

I feel like I can really relax into this, and then I start thinking about the lyrics and am a little disturbed. I suspect this exactly what you’re going for, and it’s effective. Just the right amount of drippy reverb. Vocals are excellent, as always, as is the buildup to the crescendo. I’d like a more distinctive chorus, but overall this is great.

as always, the instruments and singing are exquisite, but starting the song with two girls one cup put me off. I think with several of the songs in this round, the words just got in the way of some truly great music. The panning done in this is really tastefully done, especially with the “nothing nothing nothing” and some col legno sounding thing early on. Ok and going back and rereading the lyrics, the lyrics really are beautiful. I suppose this one’s a grower. The first line of a song is one of the only things I remember in the first few listens, so starting with that left me feeling put off rather than enjoying this great piece.

This is my 2nd favorite song ever with a 2 Girls 1 Cup reference. It’s only the 2nd one I’ve heard, but that’s still something I guess. In the end this was the biggest disappointment of the round for me. The dreamy sound was pretty, but the lyrics, lack of a clear story, all combined to make me sleepy. That’s the only thing I felt from it….sleepy.

Pretty! Something different from Vowl Sounds here. I appreciated a softer song after all the hard rock. This reminds me a little of Frankie Big Face’s entry from Round 0, in that it sets a mood from the beginning and stays there throughout. I liked this a lot but it didn’t really stick with me the way everything above it did.

got nervous when i heard 2girls1cup, but this is one of my favorites this week. the slow mellow vibe is soft fluffy bed you fall into slow motion. it fits the lyrics so well, so heartfelt.
